Welcome to Innerventions Leadership Training and Personal Development. My name is John Maloney: coach, trainer, consultant, and founder of Innerventions LTPD.
My career path started in high school when I became a member of the peer support team. I knew I wanted to help people in some capacity. After high school, I completed my Diploma in Child and Youth Care. From early on in my job, I was determined to become a leader where I worked, overcoming barriers that were present due to my sight loss. I became a Team Leader, successfully leading many teams through the use of various leadership styles including servant, values-based, and transformational leadership processes. During my leadership career, I led teams of between 6-55 people, the larger teams when I was in charge of relief staff for the non-profit organization I worked in. After 22.5 years, I left the organization.
My journey
After some soul searching, I went back to learning and took an online Advanced Life Coach Training course and graduated with distinction. Then, I decided to go to university and get my Master's Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Royal Roads University. I did a focus on leadership in the 21st Century. After getting a job with another non-profit organization for a while, I decided to leave my position and focus on my business full-time.
Although I have coached throughout my career, I wanted to join a professional coaching association . So, I joined the International Coach Federation (ICF) and have done much of my course work towards my professional coaching credential and also working on my coaching hours.
I know that if you engage with one of my services, whether it be coaching sessions, taking part in one of my workshops on communication skills, or picking my brain as a consultant, you will both learn new things and enjoy yourself doing it, you will become more confident in your skills and more confident in yourself!
